Private Parties Outside Regular Business Hours:
Venue Buyout
Enjoy exclusive use of The Canning House with a $2,000 food & beverage minimum, which includes two hours of event time. Additional event time may be added. Each additional hour is subject to a $1,000 minimum. If the hourly minimum is not satisfied, the remaining balance will be assessed as a venue fee.
For Friday through Sunday events with a 5:00 PM start time, the restaurant must close at 3:00 PM to allow adequate time for cleaning, setup, and event preparation. This additional hour of closure is billed at $1,000, bringing the minimum food & beverage spend to $3,000 for a 5:00 PM weekend start time.
Weekday events do not incur this additional fee for a 5:00 PM start.
Event time concludes once all guests have departed the premises. A one-time grace period of up to fifteen (15) minutes may be provided at the Venue’s discretion. Time exceeding the grace period will be billed in fifteen (15) minute increments at $250 per increment.
All private events are subject to an automatic 20% service charge, in addition to applicable sales tax.
Event Offerings
We offer a variety of service styles to match your event vision, including our full brunch menu, station-style dining, passed hors d’oeuvres, traditional seated service, or a thoughtfully curated combination of these options.
Our culinary team can adapt any dish from our regular menu into passed bites, stations, or mini portions, and provide full seated service featuring our complete food and beverage menu at standard menu pricing. If minimum food & beverage requirements are not met, the remaining balance will be applied as a venue utilization fee.
Alcohol Services
Hosts of the event may provide their own alcoholic beverages. Fees apply for service and staffing:
Glassware & setup fees begin at $250
Bartender service begins at $150 per dedicated bartender
Full bar service packages—including professional bartenders, mixers, and ice—are available. Alcohol must be supplied by the host. Pricing is based on guest count and event needs.

Large Groups During Regular Operating Hours
We welcome large groups and celebrations to join us during regular operating hours and dine from our standard brunch and beverage menus. Guests are also welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages for consumption day-of. We will do our best during regular operating hours to store beverages in refrigerated space and provide appropriate glassware, as space allows. There is no additional fee for this service.
Reservations for parties of six (6) or more are accepted by calling the restaurant directly. We can accommodate:
Up to 16 guests at a single table
Up to 35 guests total across multiple tables seated near one another
There are no additional fees for large group reservations during regular service. We simply ask that guests remain mindful of table timing and shared space, as we strive to ensure an enjoyable experience for all diners.
Table reservations for parties of 12 or more are generally held for up to two (2) hours. Upon completion of your meal, we kindly ask groups to transition to other areas throughout the building to continue gathering and celebrating. Our building offers ample space beyond the dining room to relax and enjoy time together.
Deposits, Payments & Event Policies
A 50% deposit is required to secure private events outside of regular operating hours and is processed through our online payment portal at the time of booking.
Event buyouts during standard operating hours require a 100% deposit to secure your event date. All deposits are processed at the time of booking.
Deposits become non-refundable one (1) week prior to the scheduled event date.
The remaining balance—including food & beverage, applicable venue fees, service charge, and sales tax—is due on the day of the event and may be paid by cash or credit card. We do not charge a credit card processing fee. Checks are not accepted.
Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule must be made at least seven (7) days prior to the event date. When notice is provided within this timeframe, deposits may be applied as a credit toward a future event, subject to availability, and must be rescheduled within six (6) months of the original event date.
Events rescheduled within seven (7) days of the scheduled date will be treated as a cancellation, and deposits will be non-refundable.
Force Majeure / Weather & Emergencies
The Canning House is not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, power outages, natural disasters, government restrictions, or other unforeseen emergencies. In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the event or apply payments as a credit toward a future date, subject to availability.
